Beta Update (v1.9)

Everything I improved, added and fixed over all these months… The previous version was so janky. It took a LOT of my time, playtesting and fixing almost everything I noticed initially, since this project has become HUGE (over 1500 events).

(2024) May - Now

  • Max chart speed capped to 5 — No reason to leave it all to 10;
  • Improved overall code system — just a thing to myself;
  • Added minimum note combo (10) — Girlfriend now cries if you break a combo;
  • Added missing characters and assets — The project size is way larger than before, it may take longer to load now;

(2024) January - April

  • Added a JSON file caching system — Reducing unnecessary loading times;
  • Fixed some display bugs in Options — Descriptions were confusing or weren’t right;
  • Fixed Freeplay’s scoring display text;
  • Weeks can now be locked;
  • (Chart Editor) Added new song properties;
  • Fixed a bug when the countdown title doesn’t fade correctly with songs with higher BPM;

(2023) September - December

  • Fixed song preloading when changing from Chart Editor to the gameplay scene and vice versa;
  • Fixed note misses/ghost misses system;
  • (Chart Editor) Fixed a bug when the chart could go back and forth when changing sections, causing a huge lag;
  • Improved memory usage — The game will now load only the necessary stuff;
  • (Chart Editor) Improved performance — No more lag spikes when charting on higher sections;
  • Fixed a bug that may happen when the game can not load preferences correctly;

(2023) May - August

  • Added support for changing the audio’s beat offset;
  • Fixed the intro’s text;
  • (Chart Editor) You can now change the instrumental and voices volumes;
  • Fixed some calculations… — I hate math;

(2023) January - April

  • Fixed Girlfriend’s miss animations;
  • (Chart Editor) Rewrote entire JSON chart loading system — Way better than before, trust me;
  • Fixed camera’s speed and character’s focus zoom;
  • Ended Canvas2D rendering support — You can no longer play the game if your browser doesn’t have WebGL support (who cares abt this btw);
  • Improved the anti-spam system — You will lose (a lot of) health if you are spamming;
  • Added support for changing Safe Frames in Options — Useless stuff but whatever;
  • Fixed a weird glitch where you could die by just pausing/unpausing the game — Weird af, it fixed by itself when I remade the pause menu btw;
  • Improved the pause menu — New options in Charting Mode;
  • Fixed some Freeplay modifiers;
  • Changed the saving system — I’m sorry but your old data won’t be loaded in this version;
  • (Chart Editor) Visual bug fixes;
  • (Chart Editor) Added ‘Mute Voices’ checkbox;
  • (Chart Editor) Fixed notetypes;
  • Improved audio resyncing — I think it’s better now;
  • Fixed Game Over screen — Death animation wasn’t playing for some reason;
  • Made some cool tweaks here and there — I forgot what I actually did but it was cool stuff trust me;
  • Fixed Story Mode score saving — The final score in Story Mode wasn’t being saved properly;
  • Your current volume setting is being saved now;
  • Fixed weird audio volume — Press NumPad-/NumPad+ to decrease/increase volume if it’s loud, 0 to mute/unmute;
  • Added support for pixel-perfect image rendering;

(2022) December

  • There’s stages now! — Sorry if they’re not so accurate to the original, it’s kinda hard to remake them from scratch.
  • Added a Stage Editor — Press 7 in Main Menu to acess it;
  • Added Story Mode and a Credits Menu;
  • Increased display resolution (854x480 to 1280x720);
  • Improved initial loading;
  • Pixel rounding no more! — I was being dumb;
  • Fixed and Improved hold sustains — The old one was just terrible;
  • (Chart Editor) Readded note snapping — It’s functional now yay;
  • (Chart Editor) Added new features in Note tab — Changeable strumtime and sustain length, noteskins and note splash skins;
  • Improved Freeplay Menu — With icons and stuff;
  • Added an image memory usage counter — For nerds (me);
  • Removed mods and some modifiers;
